Zoonymic vocabulary has always been in the focus of attention of linguists, as it occupies a special place in the lexical fund of any language, as evidenced by the uncountable number of idioms and proverbs formed in the language, where the names of animals act as a keyword. This article is devoted to the linguoculturological interpretation of the concept “cat” in languages of different systems.
